Doula care for your child-bearing year
Hello!
I’m Ashlie, a birth and postpartum doula serving Silverton, Oregon area. I’m so glad you’re here!
Your rite of passage into motherhood deserves to be nurtured, supported, and honored. As you cross the threshold of parenthood, having the right support plan can make all the difference in your experience. Research shows that doulas improve birth outcomes, and parents report more positive birth experiences when they have continuous care from a doula. Doulas serve in unmedicated and medicated births and support parents in different settings – homebirth, birth centers, and hospitals. Additionally, doulas can help you adjust to your new life at home as an expanded family. No matter what your needs are or where you choose to give birth, there is a doula for you. Let’s see if we’re a good fit and get started planning for your own beautiful crossing of the parenthood threshold.

I believe with my whole heart that support during pregnancy, birth and postpartum isn’t just a want; it’s a need. As parents cross the threshold into parenting (be it their first child or 10th!) they deserve to be seen, heard and held. I am honored to step into these sacred spaces as a part of their support team.
A doula educates, offers emotional and physical support during labor, and provides practical help postpartum. Doulas walk with families during this most intimate season, tailoring their care to meet the unique needs of the family.

At this time, I am private pay only. I can, however, provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance to try and obtain reimbursement.
If you are a teen, college student, single mother, or a family with limited resources please contact me to discuss customized doula options for you.

Motherhood implies from the beginning a special openness to the new person: and this is precisely the woman’s ‘part’. In this openness, in conceiving and giving birth to a child, the woman discovers herself through a sincere gift of self.
